We have decided that the time has come to take concrete steps, which is why we created the Emerging Threats Observatory. Hybrid threats, including disinformation, manipulation, and interference in the information space, are growing stronger, impacting society, the economy, and national security. We see how information manipulation—increasingly legitimized by social media platforms and other entities—shapes reality, undermines trust in institutions, and weakens democracy.
Therefore, we are combining expert knowledge, experience, and modern analytical methods to strengthen societal resilience. We aim to create reports that expose entities seeking to undermine the principles of democracy and the security of our country. Our goal is also to train, educate, and support those who stand guard over information security every day.
The mission of the ETO is not only to identify threats but, above all, to actively counteract them—at the local, national, and international levels.
